Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter presented the resignation of Plymouth Redevelopment Commission member Dan Tyree to the commission members Tuesday night. Tyree recently served as the president of the organization.
In a letter read aloud by the mayor, Tyree noted that he is moving out of the Plymouth district and would need to relinquish his seat.
Senter talked about how Tyree’s expertise as the former superintendent of the Plymouth Community School Corporation aided the Redevelopment Commission and saw it fitting that Lincoln Junior High School Assistant Principal Craig Hopple would step in to fill Tyree’s absent seat.
Tyree’s appointment to the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission was set to expire at the end of this year.
The commission members welcomed Hopple to the commission and reorganized for the remainder of the year. Mike Miley was appointed as president while Dr. Tom Pedavoli was appointed as vice president and Nancy Felde was appointed as secretary.
