Donaldson and Lakeville residents were among six people arrested, following a State Police drug investigation in South Bend. Officers say it began when they got a complaint of possible drug activity in the 2000 block of Morris Street.

While investigating Wednesday night, a state trooper reportedly pulled over a gold Chrysler about a half mile away. The driver, Ryan Hayes, 37, of Knox, and two passengers, Christina Bradford, 28, of Knox, and David Scarberry, 39, of Donaldson, were all arrested on preliminary charges of possession of a narcotic, possession of a schedule IV drug, and possession of a legend drug. Hayes also faces a preliminary charge of possession of methamphetamine.

State Police say the traffic stop ultimately led to the search of a home in the 2000 block of Morris Street early Thursday morning. Three people there were arrested on various preliminary drug charges. Jeff Scarberry, 52, of South Bend, is suspected of dealing methamphetamine and heroin. Aaron Rowe, 35, of Lakeville, was arrested for possession of heroin and a syringe, while Wesley Glenn, 25, of Gary, was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine.

All six were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
