Bremen Public Schools to Hold Device Distribution in August

Bremen students in 5th grade through 12th grade will have a chance to pick up their devices for the coming school year at the beginning of August.

Device distribution will be held at Bremen Public Schools on Wednesday, August 1st from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. and on Thursday, August 2nd from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Individuals are asked to enter through Door 1 at the High School.

According to the school’s website, all students who take a device home must pay an insurance premium. Students in 4th grade through 8th grade have to pay $20 while freshman, sophomore, juniors and senior students must pay $40 before they can take their device home.

If the device is damaged once it is in the students’ possession, there is an additional $100 insurance deductible that would need to be paid per incident.

Additionally, there is a Responsible Use Agreement and Contract that must be signed by a parent and student before the device can be handed over. School officials encourage parents and students to take some time to look over the agreement prior to when device distribution is held.
