Proposals from two different HR companies were consider when Argos Town Council members met Thursday evening.
One proposal came from New Focus HR and the other was from HR Unlimited. Clerk-Treasurer Lisa Mullaney said the council members reviewed both proposals and came to the conclusion that New Focus would be the best fit for the town.
The first task the company will be responsible for is updating the Town’s employee handbook. Clerk-Treasuer Mulaney mentioned that the cost for the services will be $4,125 initially. In order to continue updating the handbook annually, there will be an additional charge of $125 each year.
Mullaney noted that down the line, the company may also assist with other things such as the salary ordinance and job descriptions.
