Three seats on the Argos School Board will be up for grabs in the November 6th general election.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said a reminder about shifting from an appointed board to an elected one was provided during Monday night’s school board meeting.
Speicher noted that interested individuals have from August 1st through the 24th to file as a school board candidate. He said while the votes will be cast in November and that’s when the new members will be determined, they will not take office until January 1st of 2019.
As previously reported, due to different terms, Monty Peden and Jennifer Hurford will remain on the board for now, but eventually, their seats will also be up for election.
