The Relay for Life of Marshall County will be held tomorrow at River Park Square from noon until midnight. This year’s theme is “Carnival for a Cure.”
As of Thursday afternoon, the Marshall County Relay for Life Teams had collectively gathered about $18,058 for the American Cancer Society to assist with patient programs and cancer research. All proceeds raised during the event will also be donated to the organization.
There will be two special laps honoring Survivors during the Relay for Life event. One will be at the start of the Relay and the other will take place during the Luminaria Ceremony at dusk. Additionally, a Survivor’s Breakfast will be held at Christo’s Banquet Center in Plymouth Saturday morning.
Registration for the breakfast will begin at 9:45 a.m. and it will start at 10 a.m. Each survivor is permitted to bring one guest.
