Mayor Mark Senter asked the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday night to rescind the two-hour parking restriction on Water Street between Garro and Washington Streets.
He explained that two businesses in that area have since closed and would like to return that area to regular parking versus the two-hour posted limit.
Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt noted that the parking restriction was enacted at that location when the businesses moved in to regulate parking among the other businesses there, but now he said no one even parks in that area.
Without much other discussion, the board members approved the request with a unanimous vote.
