Marshall County Sites for the Summer Food Service Program

More than 250 Indiana schools and community sponsors will be kicking off their Food Summer Service Programs this week, with a number of local sites included.

June is the busiest month for the program since many families begin seeking additional nutrition assistance in the summertime. For that reason, Governor Eric Holcomb issued a statewide proclamation, declaring the week of June 4th through the 8th Summer Food Service Program week.

For more than 40 years, the program has provided eligible children and teens ages 18 and under with access to free, nutritious meals and snacks during the summer months. Last year, more than 3 million meals were delivered across the state. Here in Marshall County, there will be sites set up in Bremen, Culver and Plymouth.

All of the Summer Food Program Sites in Plymouth open today.

Monday through Friday at Menominee Elementary School and Plymouth High School, breakfast will be offered at 7:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Menominee’s site will be open until Friday, June 15th, while the PHS site will stay open until Friday, July 27th.

Plymouth High School Athletics will also be hosting a site until Friday, July 27th. They will offer breakfast at 8 a.m. and lunch at 11:15 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the Culver Middle/High School will serve breakfast at 7:45 a.m. and a snack will be provided at 9:05 a.m. starting today and running through August 3rd.

At Culver Elementary School, Monday through Friday, a breakfast will be offered at 7:45 a.m. and lunch will be provided at 11:45 a.m.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:15 a.m., lunch will be served at Culver-Union Township Library. This site has a start date of Tuesday, June 5th and an end date of Thursday, August 2nd.
