Marshall County Highway Supervisor Jason Peters will be meeting with a FEMA representative on Monday to review documents. The field tech will go over the damage caused by the late winter flooding that damaged roads, culverts and bridges and what steps the county took to make those repairs for reimbursement.
The paperwork has already been discussed with FEMA, however the numbers will be reviewed. The field tech will also visit the sites that were affected.
In the meantime, chip and seal work will begin this week. Peters said the rain my complicate the early movement on the work, but the plan is to start today. The roads were primed a couple of weeks ago so the curing process should be complete.
The 6th Road paving project is expected to be complete this week while the South Michigan Street paving project should wrap up this week Work on an interchange in the North Michigan Street project in LaPaz is expected to be done soon as well.
