Argos Summer Kickoff Festival Starts Tomorrow!

The Argos Summer Kickoff Festival is nearly here! It’s scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Argos Town Park.

The festivities will begin tomorrow at 5 p.m. when the park opens to the public. At that time vendors will be ready to serve citizens and the bounce house city will be open.

Pageant registration will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with the pageant starting at 6 p.m. on the Center Stage. Various other acts will also grace the Center Stage intermittently on both days.

More fun events for the first day include horse and pony rides from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and a lantern launch in the south soccer field at 10 p.m.

The Festival Parade will be held on Saturday. Participants will line up at Argos Schools at 9 a.m. and the parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. The bounce house city will open at 11 a.m. on the second day and the fishing derby will be held at the park pond at noon.

From noon until 5 p.m. the Marshall County Historical Society will have a History of Argos Display set up and the Kids Fireman Challenge will be held.

The pavilion will house a Silly Safaris Kid Show at 2 p.m. and at 4 p.m. the Marshall County Orchestra will perform there.

The event will come to a close with a fireworks display scheduled for 10:30 p.m. For more information about the fun things in store at this weekend’s Summer Kick-Off event, visit argosfestival.com.
