Bourbon residents with little ones will be happy to know that the Triton Community School Corporation will be offering pre-school in the 2018-19 school year.
When Triton School Board members met on Monday, they approved the program.
Members also approved adding 1 new teaching position and 1 new instructional assistant position for the pre-school. Those positions will be advertised and filled prior to next school year.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said that officials are in the process of applying to be a certified On My Way Pre-K school. They’re also seeking funding assistance through the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Child Care and Development Fund.
