Plymouth Police Make Two Arrests Sunday Morning Following Battery Investigation

Plymouth Police officers conducted an investigation into a battery complaint which led to the arrest of two men early Sunday morning.

According to the officer’s narrative provided by Patrolman Paul Stamper, around 12:14 a.m., Plymouth officers were dispatched a home on Center Street in reference to a battery complaint. Patrolman Stamper reports that he made contact with the female victim and an investigation was conducted.

At around 5:20 a.m. Sergeant Timothy Taberski observed the suspect vehicle that was reportedly involved in the battery complaint in the McDonald’s drive-thru.

In Sergeant Taberski’s narrative, he says the vehicle exited southbound onto Michigan Street. After pulling behind the vehicle, he states that he confirmed it was the suspect vehicle from the registration plate and he then initiated a traffic stop.

Patrolman Stamper apparently located the suspect of the battery complaint in the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The suspect, 37-year-old Beau Landrie, of Plymouth, was arrested for battery and lodged in the Marshall County Jail.

Sergeant Taberski said he identified the driver of the vehicle to be 20-year-old Stephon Lamar Shinholster, of Elkhart. The officer’s narrative indicates that when checking for local warrants, it was learned that Elkhart County apparently held an active warrant for Shinholster’s arrest.

Sergeant Taberski placed the driver under arrest and a small plastic baggy of suspected marijuana was allegedly located on his person. Shinholster was reportedly transported to the Marshall County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana and the active warrant through Elkhart County.
