Thursday is the National Day of Prayer and this year’s theme is unity as the nation joins together to pray for one another, as well as the country as a whole.
In order to bring community members together on this special day, an event is being held with a special speaker who is sure to inspire individuals with their unique perspective.
In Marshall County, Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter will be hosting the annual Prayer Breakfast in Christo’s Banquet Center starting at 6:30 a.m. The keynote speaker for the event will be Mike Lightfoot.
Lightfoot was named National Coach of the Year seven times and recently finished up his final year at Bethel College, where he served as head coach for 30 years. He now serves as the regional director for Nations of Coaches, an organization that mentors college coaches.
The former coach has seven national championships, all at Bethel College and is also recognized for winning 18 conference championships.
