Plymouth Mayor to Host National Day of Prayer Breakfast on Thursday

Thursday is the National Day of Prayer and this year’s theme is unity as the nation joins together to pray for one another, as well as the country as a whole.

In order to bring community members together on this special day, an event is being held with a special speaker who is sure to inspire individuals with their unique perspective.

In Marshall County, Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter will be hosting the annual Prayer Breakfast in Christo’s Banquet Center starting at 6:30 a.m. The keynote speaker for the event will be Mike Lightfoot. Continue reading

Mayor’s Annual Prayer Breakfast Draws Largest Crowd

Thursday’s annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast in Plymouth drew the largest crowd in the event’s history in the city.

Mayor Mark Senter welcomed the crowd of 280 participants to the 66th Annual Observance of the National Day of Prayer. The local observance has been in place for 44 years.

Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades from the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend was the keynote speaker where he gave hope to those who may be lost and guidance to the community in the holy spirit.

Prayer Breakfast Scheduled in Plymouth

The local observance of the National Day of Prayer is set for Thursday, May 4.

Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter welcomes Bishop Kevin Rhoades as the keynote speaker for the annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast set for May 4 at 6:30 a.m. at the Christos Banquet Center at 830 Lincolnway East in Plymouth.

Rhoades has served as Bishop of the Diocese of Fort-Wayne South Bend since 2010.
