The Plymouth Community School Corporation is bidding farewell to its high school athletic director. The Plymouth School Board last week accepted the retirement of Roy Benge.
Board member Larry Pinkerton recognized Benge for his years of service. “I’ve had the privilege of working with Bob Hileman and Bill Nixon and Roy Benge, and Plymouth High School has been blessed with some outstanding leadership as athletic directors,” Pinkerton said. “And I certainly want to commend Roy and thank him for his contributions and wish him all the best.”
School Board President Todd Samuelson also thanked Benge, noting that much of the athletic director’s work goes unseen. Benge’s retirement officially takes effect June 30.
