Donations are being collected to help fund the local match for the multi-purpose building slated to be built at the 4-H fairgrounds in Argos.
Earlier this year, Marshall County received a $500,000 grant through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).
The grant has to be used for the purpose of building this structure which will be used year-round for a variety of community events. The building is anticipated to be around 8,000 square feet with a projected capacity of about 400 occupants.
Though significant assistance will be provided from the OCRA grant, officials are still looking to raise about $30,000 to $50,000 more to help cover the remaining cost of the project.
