The Culver School Board heard from the two top graduating seniors last week. Valedictorian Cody Rieckhoff and Salutatorian Jasmynne Fowler were each asked to share their experiences at Culver Schools with the board members.
When asked what they liked best, both highlighted the small-town environment and the personal attention they received from teachers. As for what needs improvement, both of them focused on the facilities themselves. Rieckhoff noted a leaky roof at the high school, and Fowler pointed out some issues with the bathroom sinks.
Superintendent Karen Shuman congratulated the graduating seniors on their accomplishments. “It’s been a great thing to know each and every one of you,” she said, “and I enjoyed watching you blossom just this one school year that I’ve been here, and I think you’re going to have great futures.”
Rieckhoff will attend Holy Cross College, where he plans to play soccer and major in Psychology and possibly one other subject. Fowler plans to attend Ball State University.
