Argos Town Council members considered granting tax abatements to two companies when members met last week.
Abatements were considered for the Indiana Municipal Power Association (IMPA) and the Indiana Technologies and Manufacturing Companies (ITAMCO), according to clerk-treasurer Lisa Mullaney.
Mullaney explained that ITAMCO was applying for a machinery abatement and she added that the town receives power from IMPA and the company was looking to have a utility tax abatement granted for their solar park.
Council members unanimously approved both tax abatements.
