Marshall County Tax Bills to be Mailed This Week

Marshall County property tax bills will be mailed this week. County Treasurer Angie Birchmeier reminds residents that the first installment is due Thursday, May 10. Make sure tax statements are correct and all deductions are applied. Any questions may be directed to auditor’s office. Assessment questions should be directed to the treasurer’s office.

Credit card or debit card payments may be made online at www.co.marshall.in.us or in person at the Marshall County Treasurer’s Office. A convenience fee will be assessed.

The treasurer’s office is located in the Marshall County Building and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. During the spring collection, extended hours are offered on Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to noon and on Wednesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 10 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Birchmeier notes that several payment drop-off options are available. All Teachers Credit Union branches and the First Merchants Bank in Bourbon will collect payments beginning the last week of April. The Bremen Clerk-Treasurer’s office will also accept payments. There is also a drop box at the south end of the Marshall County Building for after hour payments.

If taxpayers submit payment via mail, payments must be postmarked by the postal service by May 10 and have the correct address and proper postage.
