A 20-year-old Plymouth man was arrested on Sunday, April 22, after allegedly crashing into a home in the area of 13th Road and Olive Trail in Marshall County.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, deputies received word of a vehicle accident causing damage to a home shortly before 5 a.m. Witnesses reportedly told police that they observed a truck turn around at the intersection of 13th Road and Olive Trail and stage a burnout. It was then when the driver, Tyler Richard Bernard Thomas, reportedly lost control of the truck, drove through a homeowner’s property and into the house.
Officers say Thomas appeared to be intoxicated at the scene and they conducted standardized field sobriety testing. Thomas allegedly failed all tests as well as a preliminary breathalyzer test which showed he was twice the legal limit of the consumption of alcohol.
Thomas was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more.
