Bourbon Town Council Members Address Damaged Irrigation Rig In Wastewater Treatment System

Bourbon Town Council members took action last week to repair a damaged irrigation rig in the town’s wastewater treatment facility.

Bourbon has a lagoon wastewater treatment system as opposed to a mechanical plant, according to Clerk-Treasurer Kimberly Berger. She said that the irrigation rig is utilized when water needs to be released onto the fields.

At their meeting last Tuesday, town council members addressed the fact that the existing rig has sustained damage and needs to be repaired. Berger said that members permitted Wastewater Superintendent Steve Stacy to make any necessary purchases in order to fix the irrigation rig. She reported the cost for that repair came in at about $6,300.
