As individuals begin assessing the severity of damage in the area, many Marshall County residents are seeking ways to assist those who were impacted the most by the flooding in February.
The United Way of Marshall County wasted no time coordinating with local businesses to organize a t-shirt fundraiser to assist those in need. According to United Way representatives, the shirts were provided through the generous support of Yoder’s Sports Center and Recon Media provided the t-shirt design free of charge.
The cost for a shirt is $15 each but citizens can also provide additional donations during their purchase. The shirts can be ordered online but they must be picked up at two designated spots in Plymouth. They can be picked up from the United Way Office at 2701 N Michigan Street or Black Cat Clothing Company at 110 N Michigan Street.
United Way representatives emphasize that one-hundred percent of donations will remain in Marshall County to help with flood relief and to assist individuals and families in the community in recovering from the flood.
