Summer School Programs Approved by Plymouth School Board

The Plymouth School Board has approved the list of this year’s summer school offerings.

Superintendent Andy Hartley presented the proposed summer school program to board members Tuesday. “We’re seeking your permission to send this program to the DOE for final approval. In it you’ll see high school program offerings, as well as the iRead remediation session. There’s also kindergarten countdown there, that we’ve typically been able to offer through local grants. So if we could, that one would be contingent upon a reward of those local grants to support that one.”

At the high school, the first summer school session would run from June 4 through 22, while the second session would be from June 25 to July 17. Course offerings would include Speech, Economics, Government, Algebra, Geometry, English, U.S. History, and Precision Machining.

At the elementary level, the iRead session is planned for June 4 through 15, and Countdown to Kindergarten is scheduled for June 4 through 26.

Plymouth’s summer school program now goes to the Indiana Department of Education for final approval.
