The Marshall County Election Board members discussed a decision by the Bourbon Town Council members to use the Matchett Center as a Vote Center.
The election board members were not formally made aware of the council’s decision but saw the action listed in a news article with The Pilot News. They clarified that the Matchett Center could be used as an option if the Triton School Board voted to withdraw the school as a Vote Center site. That has not happened as far as knowledge of the election board.
Parking and voting machine space could be an issue on an Election Day at the Matchett Center, but it could be negotiated if it became an option.
