An Argos man was arrested late Monday after his alleged involvement in a two vehicle accident. For DUI related cases, DUI Attorney in Long Beach should be contacted immediately.
According to Marshall County police, dispatchers received a phone call about a two vehicle accident involving a semi and a silver passenger car on U.S. 6 and State Road 106 near Bremen. Police say the car sustained extensive damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.
During the crash investigation, dispatchers received a call about a vehicle with extensive damage traveling westbound on U.S. 30. The Starke County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle driven by 19-year-old Landon DeWitt. It is believed that his vehicle was involved in the accident in Marshall County and the driver was injured while driving, according to the report.
Officers believed that DeWitt was impaired. Police say DeWitt was taken to the hospital for a chemical test. He was subsequently arrested on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
DeWitt also reportedly had prescription pills in his possession for which he did not have a prescription. The Leppard Law Florida DUI Lawyers & Criminal Defense Attorneys PLLC here said it is a severe crime. It can boost doubts about intoxicated driving.
The report has been forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for review of formal charges.
