The Shady Rest Committee will meet today where they will review public comments from a hearing held in January concerning the proposed addiction recovery program, “David’s Courage”, to be run out of the facility.
During the hearing, Ted Hayden and Gregg Erickson talked about the type of programs that would be offered to those suffering from addictions, the type of clients they are expecting in their programs, as well as security.
Several community members packed the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building during the public hearing in January to discuss concerns which will be taken into consideration in today’s committee meeting.
The committee is looking to fill the vacant Shady Rest Home building on Lincoln Highway in Plymouth. The Bowen Center previously occupied the facility but gave it back to the county last year when they ceased operations in August.
The Shady Rest Committee will meet at 2 p.m. in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth. The public is welcome to attend the meeting.
