At this week’s Culver School Board meeting, members appointed a new individual to the board.
Karen Lee was sworn-in on Monday and is replacing Marina Cavazos who announced her resignation back in January. Superintendent Karen Shuman said that though Lee has not served on the school board in the past, she does have a lot of Cavalier spirit and pride and community involvement.
Shuman said, “She does a lot of photography for our sports and for students for their senior pictures so she’s very well respected and known in the community because she does that.”
Additionally, members passed a resolution recognizing that the board vacancy had been filled. Lee will officially take her seat at the next school board meeting on February 19th.
