Culver School Board members approved a cooperative purchasing agreement with the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (CIESC) when they met on Monday.
Superintendent Karen Shuman explained that school officials are looking into potentially selling some old buses and purchasing some new ones. In order to advertise the bus bids through the CIESC, they have to use their bid process. Approving this agreement simply informs the organization that the school corporation will follow all necessary procedures.
Shuman said they’re looking to sell 2 or 3 of the old buses. She mentioned that the number of buses they purchase will depend on how much money they receive from the ones they sell.
