The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members approved a request from Building Inspector Keith Hammonds to waive a permit fee for flood victims attempting to rebuild after sustaining damage.
Hammonds said he will conduct inspections and urges residents to report damage to 2-1-1 so permits can be tracked to assure all residents needing assistance can receive it. He will be working with the county to coordinate inspections to others needing assistance.
The board members also approved a request to waive the eight week restriction of residents occupying and parking RVs or mobile units on properties until home repairs can be made. Those registered through 2-1-1 will be allowed this waiver.
