Bremen Superintendent Holds Work Session to Discuss Building Improvements

Bremen Superintendent Dr. Jim White held a special work session on Monday to discuss potential building improvements with school board members.

During their January meeting, Dr. White suggested looking into the possibility of taking out a bond in order to make some renovations to the school buildings.

Superintendent White called the work session because he said he wants members to have ample time to consider the option, with some of the proposed projects in mind, before they vote on whether or not to move forward with the bond during their next meeting.

Dr. White said there’s nothing too major that needs repaired but there are some general things that are in need of attention. He mentioned that some of the projects they’re considering include roof repairs, renovating the locker room at the high school, doing some temperature control work and replacing the 30-year-old cooling tower at the middle school.

The school board will hold their next scheduled meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 19th in the High School Media Center.
