The Indiana Sheriff’s Association Scholarship Fund will be providing about $20,000 worth of assistance to Hoosier students looking to pursue a degree in criminal justice studies.
According to Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hassel, approximately forty $500 scholarships will be awarded to qualifying students throughout the state.
The scholarship is open to current college students or high school seniors who plan to major in a law enforcement field at an Indiana college or university as a full-time student. The applicant must also be an Indiana resident who is either a member of the Indiana Sheriff’s Association or a dependent child or grandchild of a current member.
Applications must be completed and received by the association on or before April 1st. They can be obtained through your high school counselor, the Marshall County Sheriff’s office or they can be downloaded from the organization’s website indianasheriffs.org.
