Tuesday night marked Donna Burroughs’ final school board meeting as superintendent of Triton Schools.
Burroughs alerted board members of her retirement back in September and they appointed Elementary School Principal Jeremy Riffle to the position during a November board meeting.
Tuesday night, members officially accepted the resignation of Jeremy Riffle from the position of Triton Elementary School Principal and appointed Christine Cook as Interim Principal for the second semester of the school year. Riffle will start as superintendent on January 1st.
Donna said at the end of the meeting, a few people dear to her gave special presentations about her retirement and board members threw her a little going away party to thank her for her years of service to the school corporation.
