The Triton Schools’ building project is getting closer to the construction phase. Triton School Board members granted permission to advertise bids for the project when they met last Tuesday night.
Superintendent Donna Burroughs estimated when some of the work would be started. She stated that the heating and cooling at the elementary probably won’t begin until the summer since they will still be in session. She went onto say, “The roof at the high school, they may start doing some of that the in the spring in areas that we aren’t doing instruction and then the actual construction of the new gym will begin as soon as the ground thaws sometime around the spring.”
Superintendent Burroughs said that bids will be opened and reviewed on January 23rd and at that point a company will be selected and exact dates will be discussed and potentially established.
