A South Bend man was injured in a one vehicle accident Tuesday morning on Fir Road north of U.S. 30 near Bourbon.
Marshall County police say Shawn D. Geraghty was traveling south on Fir Road at 2:45 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle on an icy road surface. His silver 2014 Mazda went off the east side of the road and struck a Marshall County REMC pole.
Geraghty was injured in the accident with facial lacerations and he reported other complaints of pain.
The accident remains under investigation.
