The members of the John Glenn Education Foundation are looking for funds to help supply grants to teachers.
The first round of grants was awarded in September. Teachers can apply for foundation grants for their out-of-the-box ideas to enhance the learning experience for students. Grants will also be awarded for enhanced training, teaching techniques or new styles of learning.
The idea is to bridge the gap between need and funding.
The John Glenn Education Foundation recently marked its one year anniversary.
A second round of grants will be awarded in the second semester. Fundraising is ongoing including a gala on Feb. 17 at Swan Lake Resort that will include food, entertainment, music, and silent auction. Tickets are $75 for a couple and $40 for a single ticket.
