Walsh and Kelly crews have started work on the fall sidewalk projects in Plymouth approved for this year. Street paving will wait until the spring, according to Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt.
“They’re doing a lot of the concrete curb work,” explained Marquardt. “They felt like they could get all of that done this year and do all of the paving come spring. They’ve been working on North Street and Walnut and Center Streets. Their goal is to get everything done curb-wise before the asphalt plants close and get asphalt back around the curbs. They will finish up sidewalks for the season and come and pave in the spring.”
As far as leaf pick-up, Marquardt said the street department will pick up leaves as long as weather permits. He asks that leaves residents want removed should be placed by the curb.
