Two Arrested after Alleged Threats

Two men were arrested Halloween night after alleged threats were exchanged toward a single victim in downtown Plymouth.

Plymouth Police say an off-duty officer requested assistance on Michigan Street and Washington Street shortly after 7 p.m. after threats were exchanged and a weapon was brandished. Duane Longacre, 32, of Plymouth, and Justin Haining, 27, of LaPaz were allegedly threatening a person.

Haining reportedly displayed a knife during the incident.

The pair was reportedly found to be intoxicated and taken into custody by officers from the Plymouth Police Department.

Longacre was booked into the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of public intoxication with a $1,005 cash bond while Haining was booked into the jail on a preliminary charge of intimidation with a deadly weapon. Haining was also found to be wanted on several outstanding warrants, according to police. Haining remains in the Marshall County Jail on a $3,005 cash bond.
