Culver Town officials and those who are a part of the Stellar Committee will be joining Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch for a Stellarbration on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to noon ET at the Indiana Statehouse North Atrium in Indianapolis.
The Town of Culver and the City of Madison were officially named Stellar Communities in the Stellar Communities Designation Program in their respective divisions on Wednesday, Oct. 18.
The Stellar Communities Designation Program is a multi-agency partnership designed to recognize Indiana’s smaller communities that have identified comprehensive community and economic development projects and activities as well as next steps and key partnerships.
With the Stellar designation, funding will be available to help build the Sand Hill Farm workforce development housing project, the Cavalier Sports Park, the Lake Maxinkuckee Walking and Biking Trail, renovate the Culver Beach Lodge, and complete other smaller projects within the application.
A local Stellarbration is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 8. More details about the local event will be released at a later time.
