This Saturday, Plymouth Has Plenty of Ways to Get You into the Halloween Spirit

This Saturday, Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is hosting an event that will supply sugary sweets to costumed kiddos a few days before Halloween. Downtown Trick-or-Treat will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. Michigan Street will be closed between Laporte Street and Washington Street from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Pilot News is hosting a costume contest starting at noon and MAX 98.3 will be on the site at 214 N Michigan Street doing a live remote describing the spooky scene.

Children will be divided into three different categories based on age. In order to be included in the costume contest, kids must be registered by 12 p.m. today Friday, October 27th. To make sure your child has a chance to compete, call 574-936-3101 to register.

If you’re looking for something to do Saturday night once trick-or-treating has wrapped up, head over to the Marshall County Historical Society Museum “ghost walk”. Community Relations for the museum, Mindy Langdon, said the event captures the spirit of the season while remaining historically informative.

“We explore the museum by lantern and we run into different characters along the way that give a little history of maybe how they met their death in a kind of unfortunate way.” Langdon explained, “We do that every other year, this just happens to be a year that we are doing the ghost walk.”

The event will start at 7 p.m. at the museum located at 123 N Michigan Street in Plymouth.
