City of Plymouth Makes Plans for Holiday Parade

The staff at the mayor’s office is looking toward the holiday season and preparing for the annual tree lighting and parade.

Mayor Mark Senter presented the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members this week with a request to close streets for the holiday events.

“We’re asking for the closure of Michigan Street from Adams to LaPorte Street for the holiday parade and Christmas tree lighting,” explained Mayor Senter. “We’re also asking for the closure of LaPorte Street from Michigan Street to Water Street and Water Street from LaPorte Street to Garro Street. This will be Saturday, Nov. 25 from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. For the second year in a row, we’re sticking with Saturday instead of Black Friday.”

The board members approved the request with a unanimous vote.
