A busy downtown Plymouth bridge will be closed today for maintenance.
Marshall County Highway Supervisor Jason Peters said the Jefferson Street bridge will be closed so log jams can be removed from underneath the bridge. The closure is expected to take one day.
Peters added that work on 7th Road between Jarrah Road and Fir Road may see a layer of asphalt put down this week. The highway crews have been preparing the subsurface in preparation for paving.
After the 7th Road project is complete, crews will move to Douglas Road in its road paving project. The road from State Road 6 to C Road will be paved.
The project completion time is dependent on the weather.
