Plymouth BOW/Council to Meet Tonight

Plymouth City Building

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members are anticipated to award a proposal for a short term lease at 220 N. Center Street when they meet tonight. They also plan to discuss a resolution that authorizes the transfer of equipment from the clerk-treasurer’s office to the wastewater utility and transferring equipment to the Plymouth Park Department. In addition, a few requests for street closures and a stop sign will be before the governing body.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. tonight.

The Plymouth City Council will meet immediately following the Board of Public Works meeting where the members will discuss a resolution and the second and third readings of an ordinance concerning the Wier property in the 1700 block of Lake Avenue. The city is looking to initiate a fiscal plan to provide services to that area of the city and the property owners are looking to annex a portion of their property from the county into the city for sale purposes.

The city council is also anticipated to review the second and third readings of a salary ordinance for 2018, an ordinance regarding a municipal motor vehicle license excise surtax and municipal wheel tax, and an ordinance to vacate a portion of Miller Drive.

Both meetings will take place in the city council chambers in the city building.
