The Marshall County DUI Task Force recently conducted a sobriety checkpoint in the 1500 block of North Oak Drive in Plymouth and several officers participated in that enforcement.
According to Marshall County DUI Task Force Coordinator Patrolman Troy Ulch, 153 vehicles were stopped while 195 vehicles were allowed to pass around the checkpoint. Two drivers were arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. A variety of citations were issued including driving while suspended, no seatbelt, improper child restraint, failure to register a vehicle, and six other violations.
The Marshall County DUI Task Force includes members from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department for representation for a DUI charge, Bremen Police Department, Bourbon Police Department, and the Plymouth Police Department who all were present during the sobriety checkpoint. The task force was assisted by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office and Reichert and Knepp Wrecker Service.
