The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about a hit-and-run accident that happened on Thursday, Aug. 3.
According to the report, a parked car was struck by a vehicle in the overnight hours at a home in the 3,000 block of Michigan Road in Plymouth.
A 2013 Ford Escape was parked on the north side of the residence near a pole building when an unknown vehicle traveling south on Michigan Road ran off the road just south of 3A Road. Police say the unknown vehicle then turned sideways and struck the rear of the Ford Escape. The suspect vehicle then left the scene, according to police.
Evidence shows that the vehicle was a large pickup trick with a wide wheel base. The truck could be lifted up higher than a standard pickup. Police say there was a large, black center cap from a pickup truck located in the grass. Police determined this occurred as the vehicle was sliding sideways.
If anyone has information regarding this crash, call Patrolman Jordan Rans with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office at (574) 936-3187.
