A Bremen man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly attempting to move a disabled car and disobeying police orders.
A Marshall County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of disabled vehicle on East Shore Drive at Dill Street in the Lake of the Woods area in Bremen. Police say Devon Zillmer arrived at the scene to drag away the vehicle as the deputy was on his way to that location.
When the deputy arrived he reportedly saw Zillmer, the disabled vehicle and another vehicle in the middle of Dill Street. Police say Zillmer was told to keep his hands out of his pockets while talking to police and he did not comply with that command. As the deputy began to check Zillmer for weapons, Zillmer pulled away and threw an object into a nearby treeline, according to the report. The pair reportedly struggled and Zillmer was subsequently taken into custody.
Zillmer, 35, was booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement and obstruction of justice. He has since bonded out of jail.
