Blueberry Bicycle Cruise set for Sept. 2

An annual fundraiser for the Ancilla College Alumni Association is set to take you on a scenic tour through Marshall County on your bicycle.

The Blueberry Bicycle Cruise is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 2 and will cover 31, 41, or 62 miles as it has for the past 27 years. The event, in association with the annual Marshall County Blueberry Festival, serves as a fundraiser to help give scholarships to Ancilla College students every year.

The entry fee is $25 and the family rate is $55. The cost includes support and gear (SAG) stops, a map of the route with emergency numbers and refreshments. Helmets are mandatory. The Blueberry Bicycle Cruise will be held rain or shine.

The event will begin at the Menominee Elementary School in Plymouth with registration beginning at 6 a.m. ET. Riders may leave at 7 a.m. and those on the 62-mile ride must leave by 10 a.m. as a visit to Ancilla College is included where homemade cookies will be provided by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.

Some of the stops include Culver Military Academy, the Town of Culver, Twin Lakes area, and the Chief Menominee grounds.
