The Argos School Board approved two projects related to needed renovations in the school’s parking lot during a meeting Monday evening. The first project, drainage line installment, will begin August 28th and will temporarily impact dismissal procedures at the school.
The new drain lines will drain storm water away from the school and off the roofs. During installment, students will be required to report to an alternative bus location. Students will be alerted of the temporary bus location before the project commences.
The second project approved by the Board was a repaving project. During Fall Break which runs October 16th through the 20th, various driveways and parking lots will be repaved by E&B Paving.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said the projects will cost around $81,000 total, with the drainage installment coming in at approximately $16,000 and the paving costing roughly $65,000.
