Marshall County Highway Supervisor Jason Peters said crews are going to work on 20th Road east of State Road 331 with wedging and paving before the crews take a few days to prep for chip and seal work.
Peters said the highway department crews are working on the county’s new paving machine and it is making a big difference. They also demonstrated a new, bigger roller which shows greater improvement in the roadwork.
Peters said chip and seal operations will begin next week. He anticipates a three-week operation for that part of the road plan and then crews will continue paving. Workers will go to 7th Road for paving after the chip seal work is complete. Peters noted at that time they will pave until its starts to snow.
