The Triton School Board has scheduled a public hearing for tonight to hear comments on the proposed building project set to begin in 2018.
Superintendent Donna Burroughs previously told MAX 98.3 FM News that bonds will be issued to build a new high school gym, replace the roof at the high school and purchase a new heating and cooling system at the elementary school.
She said if the project goes as planned the ballpark cost is between $7.3 million to $7.5 million. More concrete figures should be released tonight.
The public hearing and preliminary determination hearing is set for the start of the school board meeting at 6:30 p.m. The school board members also plan to adopt the project resolution, preliminary determination resolution and the reimbursement resolution. Textbook rental and fundraisers are also on the agenda for discussion.
The Triton School Board will meet in the administration office at 100 Triton Drive in Bourbon.
