New Assistant Principal Named at John Glenn High School

The John Glenn School Board accepted the recommendation of Chris Manering for the position of high school assistant principal.

The position was previously held by Chris Winchell. The board accepted his resignation Tuesday night.

Manering has been with the John Glenn School Corporation for three years. He is also the athletic director.

Superintendent Richard Reese noted that he will be paid $81,000 which will compensate his additional responsibilities and time. He told the board that while the school is responsible when it comes to funding and salaries, he feels that this is the right thing to do.

The school board members unanimously approved the personnel recommendations as presented.
